Privacy notice

Your birth date, time, sex and birthplace are used only while the request that builds your chart is being handled. They are never written to a database, a file, a log, or an error-tracking tool.

There is no sign-up or sign-in, so we never ask for a name, email address or phone number either.

When you share a result, the link itself carries your birth date and time, the calendar type (solar, lunar, leap month), sex, birthplace and the calculation options. If you picked a birthplace outside Korea, the birth city is in the link too. Anyone with the link sees the same result, so check who you send it to.

No name, alias or other identifying information goes into the link. Share pages are set not to be indexed by search engines.

The "recently viewed" list lives only in the browser you are using, and holds up to 10 entries. Any alias you add stays on this device too. Neither is sent to a server.

You can delete entries one at a time, or all of them, from the recently viewed list on the input screen. Clearing the site data in your browser removes them as well. On a shared device, please clear them when you are done.

So the input screen can fill in what you last entered, we keep a draft that lives only in the current tab. It disappears when you close the tab.

The display language you choose is kept in a cookie on this device. It holds a language code and nothing else, and is never used to tell people apart.

To improve the service we count usage steps anonymously: opening a screen, starting and submitting the form, seeing a result, sharing. What is collected: the event name, when it happened, a temporary per-tab session value (dropped after 30 minutes of inactivity, never stored permanently on your device), a screen width band (narrow, medium, wide), the host name of the site you came from, the service version, the display language, the calendar type (solar or lunar), whether the birth time was unknown, whether advanced options were changed, and whether the birthplace was a Korean province or a city elsewhere.

What is never collected: your birth date (in whole or in part), birth time, the specific birthplace (country, city, coordinates, time zone), sex, the calculated result (stems and branches, Five Elements, Relationship Types and so on), aliases, share link contents, addresses that include a query string, permanent device or advertising identifiers, browser fingerprints, and precise location.

City names, coordinates and time zones are used only to calculate your result. They are not stored or counted in any form.
